To maximize the lamp’s functionality as a reading light, Jacobsen created a shade that tilts up or down, directing maximum light to where it’s needed. Like the Swan and Egg chairs, the AJ Lamp was designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, for which Jacobsen designed every element, from the skyscraper structure to the stainless steel cutlery.

Grand in scale and statement, iridescent capiz shells seem to glow from within. Handcrafted by artisans in the Philippines where capiz is abundant, the shells are harvested from local windowpane oysters. In a process done entirely by hand, each shell is cleaned, cut, lacquered, framed in a thin band of brass, strung and attached to a brass-plated frame. A shining example of craftsmanship.
Variegated coloring adds a special touch to the fluid form of our Asymmetry Ceramic Table Lamp, inspired by Japanese pottery. Topped with a linen shade, it offers diffused light next to a bed or a reading nook.
Wood floor lamp calls to mind French-Moroccan style in illuminating fashion. Inspired by the sinuous shapes of Moroccan luminaries and refined French taste, lamp blends acacia wood tones with sophisticated silhouette, all topped off with white cotton shade.
