Drawing inspiration from Japanese stone lanterns and fence posts, designer Ross Cassidy’s sculptural table lamp shines with understated elegance. Sculptural warm linen shade hovers atop white polyresin/stone base.
Grand in scale and statement, iridescent capiz shells seem to glow from within. Handcrafted by artisans in the Philippines where capiz is abundant, the shells are harvested from local windowpane oysters. In a process done entirely by hand, each shell is cleaned, cut, lacquered, framed in a thin band of brass, strung and attached to a brass-plated frame. A shining example of craftsmanship.
